Stronwood is a specialized composite facing panel designed for the exterior facing of metal entrance doors, especially for houses and entrance areas exposed to direct outdoor conditions.

This material was created as a more durable alternative to the standard moisture-resistant MDF with PVC film, which over time under prolonged sun and moisture tends to delaminate (the film lifts or peels off).

What is Stronwood and how is it built?

Stronwood is a multilayer composite panel that combines the aesthetics of a wood texture with higher resistance to water and temperature fluctuations.

1. Base layer (composite core): The core uses a high-density wood-polymer or a reinforced moisture-resistant wood-fiber composite treated with hydrophobic resins. Unlike standard MDF, it practically does not absorb moisture from the air and does not swell.
2. Decorative and protective layer: The surface is covered with a special UV-resistant PVC or HPL (High-Pressure Laminate) polymer coating / film, pressed at high temperature and pressure. This layer has a pronounced wood or matte texture.
3. UV and thermal protection: The coating uses special pigments and UV stabilizers that protect the panel from fading in direct sunlight and prevent the surface from overheating and deforming.
