What are hidden doors
Hidden doors are built into the wall so that the frame is not visible from the outside: the aluminum profile is fixed into the partition and concealed under the plaster, while the leaf closes flush with the wall. Only a thin shadow gap and the handle remain visible.
The leaf is supplied primed, so it is filled, painted or wallpapered together with the wall. That way the door visually disappears and the wall stays uninterrupted.
Construction
In this configuration the leaf thickness is 40 mm and it opens outward. The frame jamb and the leaf trim are black aluminum, so a thin black outline stays around the light leaf and the door becomes a graphic wall element rather than disappearing into it.
The leaf is held by two concealed Otlav Invisacta IN300 hinges that can be adjusted in three planes after installation. Closing is provided by a magnetic lock, so there is no visible strike plate on the frame and no click when closing.
Dimensions
Four frames are available from stock: 2034 × 648 / 748 / 848 / 948 mm for the 40 mm leaf and 2044 × 648 / 748 / 848 / 948 mm for the 52 mm leaf. The recommended door opening is respectively 2055 × 670 / 770 / 870 / 970 mm and 2065 × 670 / 770 / 870 / 970 mm.
To order, the leaf is made in 5 mm steps up to 2700 mm high and 1100 mm wide. Above 2300 mm in height the leaf is made only 52 mm thick with a rebate.
Non-standard size surcharge
Width above standard (up to 1100 mm) or height up to 2100 mm - surcharge +10%. Height 2110-2200 mm - +20%, 2210-2300 mm - +30%, 2310-2400 mm - +40%, 2410-2700 mm - +50%.
Taller doors need a third or fourth hinge. An additional milled hinge costs €59 and is not included in the percentage surcharge.
