A house entrance door works differently from an apartment door: one side faces the street, the other a heated room. That is why almost every door in our house-door category (277 of 310) has a thermal break separating the outer and inner side.
Aluminium doors with a thermal break
This is most of our range: the BOSTON collection has about 265 models. A typical leaf and frame thickness is around 97 mm. The leaf is powder-coated in the colour you choose, and Nature series doors have a printed wood or concrete finish on the outside.
- Many designs: classic and modern, with glass, slats or inserts.
- Colour and size are chosen when ordering.
- Most models are made to order.
Steel thermal doors
Steel doors with a thermal break are in the TERMO HOUSE and TERMIX collections. TERMO HOUSE has a frame of about 100 mm and a leaf of 95 mm, filled with mineral wool, polystyrene and foil. The TERMIX frame reaches 142 mm and the leaf 104 mm, and the doors weigh 114–127 kg, so they need a sound opening and careful installation.
What to look at when choosing
- Threshold: house doors usually get an aluminium thermal-break or stainless steel threshold.
- Weight: for heavier doors the condition of the opening and the hinges matter.
- Glass: doors with a glazing package let light in, but there are fewer models (11 in our range).
- Lead time: some models are in stock, the rest are made to order.
